Being Able to be Inconsistent

--

Being able to be inconsistent is a luxury

We see others forgiven for hypocrisy and short comings and get mad

We don’t forgive them but something else does

And we have to live in this affront

Leave while a shadow casts our future

Knowing that transgression against logic are upheld by the continuity of the universe

The reconciliation is a fricase

The consistency with the inconsistencies is made whole

By our pretense that the only rule is be able to play the game well enough to get away with it

We don’t even consider the alternative

We are all hypocrites and need forgiveness

No one gets away with it, getting away is an illusion

Paid by those that are willing to believe in a consistent and logical universe
