Cyclical Nature: On Working Backwards

Any teleology rests on previousity.

The end is not transcendent or seen before it happens

The end is determined because the steps taken prior

Like an improv bit culminating from each participant adding context and meaning

To the words that yet to be announced

And so

Our conclusions have only to be announced

From what has already been laid

Lest we be afraid to put into words

And thus when the alchemist proclaimed that the atom contains persistent gravity

That physics follows formulas that were with us even before our first forebearer left a liquid world for an aerosol one

That the only introduction into our intellect was an awareness

Of a cycle that will always

And here find the will

imposing the end with our own dogma

We don’t just want to reveal objective formulas that tell us the end

We want to reveal tainted with our own history

To ensure our future is recorded

On these wheels

We could talk truths

But it’s so hard to do so without wanting to include a self

A last name, a family name

We don’t want to reveal this nature that makes us trivial

For the greater good of a nameless future

A continuation of the cycle without us as its revealer

Lest a child name themselves
