The neighborhood made me special, most comfortable when the temp is risin’
Make classic shit out of nothin’, that’s what I specialize in
I pull up, it’s lyrical exercisin’
You’re evil on the inside, it won’t matter, your physical’s mesmerizin’

If we take Camus’ Sisyphus as an allegory for the human condition, and apply to it a post-modern understanding of functional-pragmatic metaphysics, the significance of imagining Sisyphus happy is a passive acceptance of the nihilistic turn life takes when we realize the meaninglessness of our gestures. In the same passiveness, there is an active and firm attempt to be happy.

The nihilistic turn reaffirms what contemporary wisdom has made available to most people with access to it. That beyond the myths of our tribes, there is little rhyme or reason to explain the purpose of life.

Science as of recently offers a myth of its own where myths are cogs in the machines that host what ghosts may roam in its entrails. The myth is just a functional piece in a seemingly functional universe. If the myth works keep it. If it doesn’t work, improve it.

Is there a ghost rambling around in our lukewarm and damp organs? Maybe. If the theory doesn’t hinder the other cogs that are definitely doing good, keep it. If it does, change it.

The same thing with happiness. Happiness is itself not the end result of something necessarily. It’s a cog in its own right. Because we are “not” happy doesn’t mean we can’t fake being happy. Fake-being-happy puts a subprocess in your function where an extra effort is done to be happy compared to when one is organically happy. The subprocess can lose its usefulness when one starts being happy organically (in cases where this kind of therapy helps and just deals with existential dread. Not more serious conditions that may require professional help).

Why must one imagine Sisyphus happy? Because that’s all the tools we have when it comes to our physical relationship with the world. The effort we make with our imagination. Another dimension where we can exercise autonomy while exercizing the physical burdens of society and life.

The physical, back to science, follows functional processes of iterations. Certain circumstances are satisfied to continue a particular physical process.

The imagination, we imagine, works the same way we imagine the physical. We equally imagine the paradox of imagination depending on imagination to imagine and approach the imagination as contained in physical law. When the iteration occurs, the imagination follows the scientist consensus to create temporary myths that explain the imagination imagining.

Imagine whatever you can, you can only correlate it with science if you trace the imagination along. The tracing interferes and changes the imagination, the imagination has to imagine a trace along with what it would have imagined without it.
