Next Step

In evolution, there’s a seeming plateau that cannot be advanced

Unless acted by an outside force

The plateau itself cannot react

The first question is whether the seeming is an illusion

Who are we to say there’s a next step?

Who are we to say that the next step is an advance?

Advance in a way that the follies of the plateau are avoided in the next movement

Who are we to say they are follies?

Avoiding the answer, escaping the formalities of informal fallacies, we can cite maxims, etc

Old beliefs whose age lends legitimacy to their reign

The next question, then

How can we change the scenery?

Perspective, etc

So many deaths due to war

The plateau running out of resources

To sustain its own justification

Killing the justification of others

Reaching the rim of the horizon

And starting at the beginning

An ideology of overcoming the dogmatism of the first answer

The answer we never got to
