Pick Up Game: On Nihilism and Valid Criticism

Who you talk to and what you share is an abstract expression with no destination. We shape our information based on input from our own awareness and corroboration by our social peers (family, friends, other citizens, etc).

The peers we accept corroboration from are people that are also defined as abstract expressions with no destinations who shape their information based on their surrounding.

We tether/tie our physical bodies to these inputs of information.

The central figure that manages this information is a part of our experience that recognizes patterns.

An example of this pattern recognition loop is “I think therefore I am” or “I am a thinking thing.” The believe that, in whatever circumstance, our awareness and state of existence depends on us thinking. We can create a simple thought experiment that would leave our final thought up to us. An implication being that our thinking is “powerful”, can change the physical world and that our thinking can help us achieve our dreams.

The belief that existence depends on our thinking is like any good theory. Partly correct. An improvement to the theory is to consider if we can “stand back” of the loop and see the loop loop within us. Like a neuroscientist seeing the brain function. But we can see the loop without any scientific or medical equipment and we can see it first person in our own mind.

We can simply entertain ourselves being objective creatures inside a process that produces objective creatures. We naturally do this by approaching outside objects as significant to the degree that they belong to the process they find themselves in. We naturally give criticism/evaluation of events based on merely processing the events.

Without critical thinking, we do regular thinking. Regular thinking where criticism is based on basic, undeveloped, immature, xenophobic, bigoted, closed-minded appreciation of societal aesthetics determined by the herd.

To do critical thinking, we gain self-awareness by stepping back from the loop and seeing how we are part of the loop by seeing how we react by “stepping back.”

This is like that Venn diagram were Philosophy encompasses everything, inside it is Math. Inside math, is physics. Inside physics, in chemistry. Inside chemistry is biology. Eventually we find ourselves in the Venn diagram as the center. We step back from our individualism and see ourselves as biological creatures. Then see ourselves as chemical reactions. Then see chemical reactions as physical. The physical is only made sense by the math used. The whole ensemble is valid because of the philosophy we follow.

Philosophy is a pick up game. Where ever you are, if you see the rules being followed, you can follow the rules and reap the production of the process. Hear me process. Feel me process.
