The Unexpected

The unexpected is what should be expected if we do not ourselves have expectations.

Once our expecations are in place, what should be expected is what is expected.

Failure to meet the expected, ending up in the unexpected is still expected by something.

In the sense that once we expected Earth to be the center of the universe. Our expectations thwarted by something unexpected. While assuming that something else expected the Sun to be where it was, with its role.

In the sense that kids need to be taught what is expected of them in polite society. Kids learn “what you get out depends on what you put in.” An axiomatic mantra that expectations play out once all things are considered.

To meet the unexpected is to assume something considered everything and it resulted in an instance our own epistemic self miscalculated.

In this chaos, we find ourselves testing theories, analyzing evidence, and trying to find the expected, only met by our resolve.

Within the chaos, order is found through our resolve.

To continue in the chaos in search for alternative resolutions.

The unexpected always provides solutions. Our own thoughts playing factors in the process.
