Zombifying Symbolism

Is it beyond or more than poetry

To celebrate ideals because we acknowledge their reign

Or does the floor get weaker the further the celebration flee from the ideals

When the ideals don’t maintain their position and the drunkards turn a blind eye

Is it cool to let democracy erode?

Because we don’t care anymore

And the sits are taken once again and in its place a terrorist

Do we get up to dance and drink again?

Where are the true believers of ideals?

Where are the true defenders of ideals?

Who are they? What’s their demonstration?

Is the praise in the dance and the drinks?

Is that all that matters?

Should we worship in private?

Fuck all y’all nonbelievers

What does it mean to believe in something? Regardless of its foundation, all beliefs are of the same kind

There’s no excuse for the other

It’s not tolerance to let your beliefs be sacrileged

It’s not your voice or passing of judgment that is excused

It’s your belief that is excused

And what is left of you when your belief is excused?
